Trauma

In trauma cases, HemaClear® offers distinct advantages over traditional tourniquets. Encapsulated in an elegant, single-use, sterile device, HemaClear® is an exsanguinating tourniquet that's easy to use and can be placed closer to the surgical site. Its unique, narrower design allows for a clearer, more unobstructed view of anatomical structures, as well as greater access to the surgical field.

HemaClear® is especially helpful in fractures of both the upper and lower extremities. Application time takes on average less than 15 seconds, and requires no other preparatory components. Once in place, HemaClear®'s narrow size allows greater access to the entire limb and does not interfere with the size of the surgical field, especially on the proximal thigh or upper arm.

HemaClear® is particularly useful for humeral and femoral fractures, providing a bloodless field without interfering with the size of the surgical field. The result: a safer, more successful surgical outcome.

In trauma cases, when the limb is unstable (as often occurs in fractures or dislocations), be sure too use axial traction to stabilize the limb during HemaClear® application.
